Health Gymnastics for Adults Over 60
Structured around your body's actual needs - not a generic routine. This programme adapts as you progress, with each session building on what came before.
Movement after 60 is not about performance. It is about keeping the body functional and comfortable for daily life - getting up from a chair without bracing yourself, walking on uneven ground without anxiety, reaching overhead without pain.
How this program is structured differently
Every exercise is selected with joint safety as the primary consideration. There are no high-impact movements, no fast transitions, and no sequences that require getting up and down from the floor repeatedly. If floor work is included, alternatives are always provided.
Your instructor - who has specific experience working with adults over 60 - conducts an initial consultation to understand your health history, any conditions affecting movement, and what you actually want to be able to do more easily. The program is built from that conversation.
What the sessions involve
Sessions are 25 minutes and held via video call three times per week. Exercises include standing balance work, seated joint mobility sequences, gentle spinal rotation, and breath-supported stretching. Everything can be done in a living room with a chair and a mat.
Participants receive a printed exercise card for each week - a simple one-page reference they can use between sessions without needing a screen.
A note on expectations
Improvement in balance and mobility is gradual. Some participants notice changes within three weeks. Others take longer. The program runs for 12 weeks because meaningful change in this age group requires patience and repetition.
